“You lost a diamond because you were too busy collecting rocks.”⁣

This saying is a nice reminder, and I do understand the implied value of diamonds. ⁣

But when applied to relationships/people in your life, which is what the saying is usually used for…

It doesn’t fit my belief that a person is “less valuable” than another based on conceived standards constructed by our modern society. ⁣
